What does Snapption do?

Snapption looks at a photo you upload and generates ready-to-use text for it — either stock photography metadata (title, description, and keywords formatted for Getty Images, iStock, Shutterstock, and Adobe Stock) or social media captions and hashtags, depending on what you need.

How do I choose between stock metadata and social captions?

When you upload a photo, pick an output type before generating:

What is a Photo Critique?

It's instant, actionable feedback on a photo you upload — composition, lighting, and other details worth knowing before you publish or submit it.

What are Editing Suggestions?

Practical tips for making a shot pop, tailored to the photo you uploaded. Snapption also includes beta built-in photo editing tools so you can try a suggested fix directly.

Can I upload more than one photo at a time?

Yes, batch upload lets you process multiple photos in one pass instead of one at a time.

Can I export my results?

Yes, generated metadata can be exported as a CSV file, which is convenient for uploading results in bulk to stock photo sites.

Do I need a credit card to try Snapption?

No. Every account starts with 5 free photos (captions, critiques, and edits on a photo all count once), no credit card required.

What plans are available after the free trial?

Running a caption, a critique, and edits on the same photo only counts once against your monthly quota.

Both plans are billed monthly or annually. See Pricing for current rates.

Can I install Snapption as an app on my phone?

Yes. Snapption is an installable web app (PWA):

Once installed, Snapption opens full-screen from your home screen like a native app, with some offline support.

Is there a Lightroom plugin?

Yes — see the Lightroom Plugin page for download and install instructions. It generates stock-photography metadata for selected photos and writes it straight into your Lightroom Classic catalog.

Where can I see what's new?
